Coronavirus (COVID-19) Causes Commotion Among Teays Valley

Shaina Rowe, Staff Writer

The current situation that the world is facing has made its way to our small town. Coronavirus has limited wrestlers going to the state tournament, Zander Grahm and Gunner Havens from Teays Valley, to only bring immediate family– 4 people per wrestler only. This is also a rule for the high school boys and girls state basketball tournaments. On a larger scale the NBA, NCAA, and even the Columbus Blue Jackets have prohibited spectators from being at the games to prevent the spread of the virus.

This virus has also caused Teays Valley to cancel the special needs basketball game and the high school’s talent show. These are all precautionary measures to make sure that Teays Valley students and staff stay safe and healthy. There is no foreseeable end to this panic, all we can do is wash our hands and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth as much as possible.
